Lough Eske Castle Scoops Three Prestigious Awards At The IHI Awards
Lough Eske Castle, a Solis Hotel & Spa is thrilled to announce that they have been awarded three prestigious awards at the Irish Hospitality Institute (IHI) Founders Banquet & Hospitality Management Awards 2017 to include Denise McDonagh (Spa Manager) who won "Young Hospitality Manager of the Year 2017", Catherine Monahan (Director of Human Resources) won "Hospitality Human Resources & Training Manager of the Year 2017" and last but not least; Geraldine Carty (Front of House Supervisor) won "IHI Hospitality Employee of the Year Award 2017."
Additionally, Lough Eske Castle was shortlisted for four awards out of eleven in total, with Karen Downey (Revenue Manager) also being nominated as Revenue Manager of the Year 2017.
Lough Eske Castle, is managed by Solís Hotels & Resorts and 2017 marks a decade since they first opened their doors in Lough Eske, Co. Donegal. It has been an exhilarating year for the hotel, having been named No.3 in the top hotels in Ireland by Condé Nast Traveller’s 2017 Readers’ Choice Award earlier this year.
The IHI Awards 2017, hosted the glamorous black-tie gala dinner and ceremony event, which was held on Thursday, 23rd November at the Clayton Hotel, Ballsbridge, co-hosted by Matthias Muller, President of the IHI. The Irish Hospitality Institute (IHI) is the professional body for Managers & aspiring Managers within the Hospitality and Tourism Industry in Ireland. Established in 1966 to promote professional development within the Irish Hospitality Industry, the IHI’s reputation as a membership organisation promoting quality standards, education and networking opportunities is now in its 50th Year.
