A Taste Of Herald & Devoy Huge Success At The Osprey
‘A Taste of Herald & Devoy’ was held at The Osprey Hotel, Naas. Co. Kildare last Thursday (19th October). The evening offered the 130 guests the chance to sample the extensive menu at the newly refurbished Osprey restaurant where they enjoyed six autumnal inspired courses prepared by Head Chef, Noel Walsh and his team. A number of well-known faces from the media and fashion world attended the tasting event, including 2FM DJ, Keith Walsh who was there with his dad, Michael, model, Madeline Mulqueen, taste.ie owner Keith Mahon and several well-known food writers and influencers.
The General Manager of the Osprey Hotel, Peter Brennan hosted the guests who also enjoyed funky music by DJ/sax duo, ‘Riff Shop’. Later in the evening, MC Aileen O’Brien of O’Brien PR interviewed chef, Noel Walsh and asked him about his food inspirations and the menu itself. Noel said, he had been inspired to use in season products and wanted the guests to be able to “taste autumn” through the menu which consisted of dishes such as Venison en Croute with Pear and Savoy Cabbage, Short Rib of Beef, Monkfish with Wild Mushroom, Blackberry and Gin Sorbet and Mini Orchard Crumble with Chocolate Mouse and Lemon Tart.
The launch of Herald & Devoy is the latest development at the hotel and is part of an overall €3 million investment by the Osprey owners, The Prem Group. The interiors of the restaurant were designed by renowned architect and RTÉ’s Home of the Year star, Hugh Wallace.
