Relax & Unwind at The Well in the Garden - Cliff At Lyons Launches Stunning Spa Retreat

Everything is coming up roses, with the opening of The Well in the Garden at Cliff at Lyons just 30 minutes from Dublin city-centre. Nestled in the picturesque countryside close to Celbridge and set amongst sprawling gardens, splashing fountains and floral walkways, this beautifully restored property adjacent to the Lyon’s Demesne is filled with natural light and soaring ceilings. Uniquely, the elegant retreat will offer signature body treatments designed by award-winning therapist Laura Clarke and a custom range of Irish-made botanical skincare products.

Set to open in October 2017, the two-story building within the Cliff at Lyons was caringly renovated to maintain the old-style elegance of the original structure, and includes four treatment rooms and a large relaxation space. Mirroring the lush green countryside setting and botanically focused treatment menu, the interior features sophisticated floral patterns, encouraging guests to reconnect with nature and relax the body, mind and soul.

This ethos was also used to create the custom skincare products which were designed by industry-leading spa consultants using local flora and indigenous ingredients like carrageen moss, peat and fresh ground herbs from the surrounding garden. Reflecting the naturally sourced oils, salts and scrubs, the treatment offering was crafted to provide one-of-a-kind relaxing and nourishing experiences like Peat for the Feet, Hug of the Hands Massage and a Hot Towel Head & Scalp Ritual. Treatments are paired with organic juices and smoothies developed by Michelin Star Cliff Executive Chef Martijn Kajuiter and Head Chef Nathan Dimond, produced on-site to nurture the body from the inside out.

The Well also marks the group’s first retail offering. Set to launch in November it will include signature body oils, lotions and salts as well as candles and linen sprays.

Acquired last year, Cliff at Lyons is a sister property to Cliff Townhouse and Cliff House Hotel which has The Well by the Sea, a ‘wet’ spa which includes a pool, outside baths and a hot tub overlooking Ardmore Bay. The Well in the Garden is the newest addition to the quietly expanding Cliff at Lyons which recently opened Trellis, an all-day brassiere restaurant and The Orangery, a fine-dining restaurant located in a Turner designed conservatory.
