Musgrave MarketPlace Scoops Top Awards in HR and Marketing

Musgrave MarketPlace has announced its recent accolades awarded for its work in HR and marketing. In the last four months, Ireland’s largest retail and foodservice wholesaler, took home awards for Best Change Management Programme at the HR Champion Awards, a silver award for Identity and Branding f – New Branding Schemes at the Institute of Creative Advertising and Design (ICAD) Awards for Chipmongers, and Best Business Twitter Campaign at the Sockies Social Media Awards.

The HR Champion Awards, which were held in the Guinness Storehouse on March 24th, 2017, celebrate the hard work and dedication of HR teams operating at the front line, delivering ambitious programmes and transforming business experience. This year’s competition saw entrants, both national and multinational, from a variety of sectors. The Best Change Management Programme Award was awarded to Musgrave MarketPlace for its people and behaviours strategy developed in its Ballymun branch.

Catherine Lambe, HR Director for Musgrave Wholesale Partners, accepted the award on behalf of the company. She commented, “Engaging all of our colleagues with our vision for the Food Emporium at the Ballymun store was critical to our success. The entire team worked hard to create a unique Food Emporium for our customers. We focused first on developing a team of experts to provide excellent service to customers and we have now developed a full calendar of events for customers to learn from leading foodservice experts that they can bring back and implement in their own businesses.”

The ICAD Awards were held in Dublin City Centre on May 11th, 2017 to celebrate the best creative advertising and design of 2016. Musgrave MarketPlace’s new fast food brand, Chipmongers, took home a silver award for Identity and Branding.

Chipmonger’s new brand identity encompasses a unique visual style that represents the history of a traditional local “chipper” while appealing to new generations. The design includes signage and wall graphics along with menus, printed materials, and a fresh website. Five Chipmongers stores have opened to date, with plans to open many more in Ireland in 2017.

The Maximum Media Sockies, held at the RDS on May 25th, 2017, are Ireland’s leading social media awards, recognising work across a range of social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. This year saw over 800 submissions from more than 200 organisations across Ireland.

Musgrave MarketPlace scooped the top award for Best Business Twitter Campaign for its #MMPGin Twitter Tasting, which was the final instalment in a four-part series of virtual Twitter tastings in 2016. The tasting was held at the Musgrave MarketPlace Ballymun store in its newly revamped Gin Palace, with media and bloggers participating virtually from their homes and offices.

Commenting on the series of wins, Michelle Fennell, Marketing Director of Musgrave Wholesale Partners, said, “I am extremely proud of the entire Musgrave MarketPlace team and the hard work and creativity from everyone that has helped us achieve these recent successes. It is due to the dedication of everyone in the company that we’re able to produce high quality results, and we are delighted to be recognised by these wins.
