Lough Erne Resort has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s Great Britain & Ireland Golf Course Awards.
The Faldo Course is a finalist for Ireland: Golf Course of the Year and Lough Erne Resort has also been shortlisted for Golf Resort of the Year – both the only nominations in their categories from Northern Ireland this year.
The Golf Course Awards take a progressive approach to defining golfing excellence across Great Britain & Ireland. Their mission is to build on traditional interpretations of quality and to shine a light on courses that achieve greatness in the eyes of golf enthusiasts. Finalists are selected not only for course design, conditioning and aesthetics, but also for demonstrating cutting‑edge innovation, accessibility and sustainability.
The Awards place particular emphasis on inclusivity – recognising that golf is a game to be enjoyed by all – and on initiatives that level the playing field and grow the game for everyone.
The Faldo Course’s nomination acknowledges Sir Nick Faldo’s strategic routing through the waterways of Lough Erne, its striking scenery and the consistently high standards of conditioning delivered by the Resort’s greens team.
The Golf Resort of the Year shortlist recognises Lough Erne Resort’s ability to pair championship golf with outstanding hospitality, accommodation and leisure facilities to create memorable, resort‑wide experiences.

Winners of the Golf Course Awards for Great Britain & Ireland will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 4 December 2025 at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium in London.
